The workhorse of standby power
For decades the 12V VRLA (valve-regulated lead-acid) block has been the standard UPS battery — economical, predictable and universally supported. HighIdea NP-series covers 7Ah to 250Ah with high-consistency plates and flame-retardant cases.
Guidance for UPS service:
- Size strings by runtime target and load, not by cabinet space.
- Expect 3–5 years of float service life in air-conditioned rooms; high ambient temperature halves it roughly every 10°C.
- Replace blocks as a complete set — mixing old and new cells accelerates failure of both.
For high-cycle or hard-to-access sites, consider the LiFePO4 alternative instead.
