When an offline UPS is enough
For PCs, routers, NAS units and POS terminals, an offline (standby) UPS covers the essentials: battery backup during outages and basic surge protection. The inverter engages only when mains fails, which keeps cost and size down.
The lithium advantage in small UPS
The LT series pairs the offline topology with a built-in LiFePO4 battery — several times the cycle life of lead-acid, maintenance-free, and lighter. If the unit cycles frequently (unstable grid), lithium pays for itself; if outages are rare, the MT series with VRLA battery is the economical choice.
Both series include AVR voltage stabilization for brownout and overvoltage conditions. 110V-output versions for Japan and the Americas are listed under 100V/110V/120V UPS.
