When to choose this over the 100 Ah model
Move up to the 200 Ah pack when either of two conditions applies: the inverter is 2,000 W or larger, or the application needs more than one day of autonomy.
For a 2,000 W inverter, the 12 V current at full load is around 160 A. The 100 Ah pack's continuous rating is 100 A, so it would trip. This pack's 200 A continuous rating covers it with headroom for start-up surge.
Charging is the constraint people underestimate
At 200 Ah, recharge time becomes the practical limit on how the system is used. A 30 A charger takes over seven hours from empty. A 100 A charger takes about two hours.
If the installation charges from solar, work backwards from the array's realistic output rather than its rated output — a 1 kW array in winter delivers far less than 1 kW, and the pack's usable capacity will not be reachable on many days.
For systems above roughly 400 Ah of 12 V capacity, a 48 V system is usually the better engineering answer than more 12 V packs in parallel: thinner cables, lower losses, one BMS managing the whole bank.
Key Features
- 12.8 V nominal, 200 Ah rated, 2,560 Wh rated energy
- Approximately 2,304 Wh usable at 90 % depth of discharge
- 200 A continuous discharge, 400 A peak for 10 seconds
- Supports a 2,500 W inverter at continuous load with headroom
- 100 A maximum charge current — full recharge from empty in about two hours with a suitable charger
- Around 25 kg, replacing roughly 60 kg of lead-acid at the same usable energy
- Optional internal heating for charging in sub-zero conditions

Applications
Off-grid cabin with a 3 kW inverter
Delivers sustained 2.5 kW output and enough stored energy for a full day of typical cabin load without generator support.
Marine house bank
Suitable as a two-unit house bank for a mid-size cruising yacht, with the low-temperature variant for northern latitudes.
Mobile office or welfare unit
Runs office equipment, lighting and a small air-conditioning unit through a working day.

Two of these in parallel or one larger pack?
Why is the enclosure steel rather than ABS?
