The surge rating decides the purchase

Customers compare watt-hours, then discover their tool will not start. An induction motor draws three to six times its running current for a period that varies with the load on the tool at start-up.

Specify the load's starting current, not its running watts. A 1.2 kW compressor pulling 5 kW for four seconds needs a system rated for that surge — not simply one with a bigger battery.

Silence is the product

The alternative at this scale is a generator. A generator is cheaper for continuous heavy load, and it is the right answer for that. Where the load is modest, intermittent, or located near people, the battery wins on noise, emissions and the fact that it can operate indoors or in a confined area where a generator cannot legally run.

Applications

Construction and site power

Runs hand tools, lighting and small machinery where there is no supply, and can be recharged from a generator or solar during the day.

Events and catering

Silent power for sound, lighting and refrigeration without a generator running next to the guests.

Mobile office and welfare

Powers laptops, communications and a small air-conditioning unit through a working day.

FAQ

What can a 3 kW output actually run?
Continuous loads up to 3 kW, and motor-driven loads up to roughly 1.5 kW whose starting surge stays within 6 kW for under two seconds. The surge rating is the number that decides whether a tool will start — a compressor or a pump needing 5 kW for four seconds will trip the inverter even though its running power is only 1.2 kW.
How long does it take to charge?
About four hours from mains at full rate, faster if the unit is not deeply discharged. From solar, it depends entirely on the array: a 1 kW array in good conditions takes about six hours of useful sunlight.
Can I move it on my own?
At 68 kg, on wheels over a flat surface, yes — that is what the trolley format is for. Lifting it into a vehicle needs two people or a ramp. If the requirement includes frequent van loading, look at the two-module PS-10 with a heavier trolley, or specify a custom frame.
Is it repairable?
Yes. The battery module is field-replaceable and the inverter is a separate assembly. Fleet buyers can hold a spare module and keep units in service rather than returning a whole station for repair.
