HC Rack-Mount Battery

A 19-inch chassis, 440 mm wide, with front terminals and a state-of-charge display — the format a telecom or IT technician already knows how to service.

The rack format exists because the people who service batteries in telecom and IT rooms are not battery engineers. Front access, a 19-inch chassis and a display showing state of charge turn a service visit into a five-minute job.

Mechanically, the HC is a standard 440 mm chassis; electrically it is the same 51.2 V 16S platform as the rest of the range, with a BMS that reports over CAN and RS485. That shared platform is what allows a distributor to stock one BMS configuration across wall, stack and rack formats.

For containerised storage, rack mounting also solves transport: modules are fixed to rails rather than standing free, so vibration during shipping does not load the terminals.

HC Rack-Mount Battery — frequently asked questions

Which rack units does it occupy?
From 2U on the 100 Ah module to about 5U on the 314 Ah module. The rail kit is adjustable for 600–800 mm cabinets.
Can it replace a 48 V VRLA string?
Mechanically yes. Electrically, confirm the charger has a lithium profile — a lead-acid float charger will leave the modules at 80–85 % state of charge.
Is there a BMS for third-party inverters?
Yes. Pylontech, GoodWe, Deye, Growatt, Victron and SolaX protocols are loaded at the factory on request; send the protocol document for anything else.
