US-S / US-R Series 120/240 V split-phase hybrid inverter, 3.6–12 kW
Built for the North American panel: 120/240 V split-phase output, anti-reflux CT in the box, and a 10 ms transfer that keeps a well pump and a furnace controller alive.

A North American product, not an export afterthought
A 120/240 V split-phase panel is not the same as a 230 V single-phase panel with a different plug. The inverter has to supply two live legs 180° apart, carry the neutral imbalance, and handle 240 V loads like a well pump or a dryer without unbalancing the legs.
The US-S/US-R series is built around that. Models run from 3.6 kW to 12 kW on 24 V and 48 V batteries, with L1, L2, N and PE landed separately and a neutral sized for the worst-case imbalance. The 6-unit parallel limit covers residential expansion and light commercial work.
Anti-reflux and battery-free operation
Many US utilities prohibit export from a residential system, or require a zero-export relay. The CT supplied with the inverter measures the service entrance current and holds export at zero, which is simpler and cheaper than a dedicated relay.
Battery-free operation is the other feature that matters in that market: a customer can install PV with the inverter now and add a battery in two years. The inverter runs the loads from PV and grid in the meantime, and the battery is a later purchase rather than a precondition.
Service and updates
Firmware is updated over the air through the monitoring portal. On a remote cabin or a site 300 km from the nearest installer, that is the difference between a service visit and a remote fix.
Key Features
- 3.6 kW to 12 kW across seven models, 24 V and 48 V battery
- 120/240 V split-phase output, L1 + L2 + N + PE
- Anti-reflux CT supplied as standard
- Transfer time under 10 ms for critical loads
- Up to 6 units in parallel, single- or three-phase arrangement
- Battery-free operation: PV and grid can supply loads without a battery
- Remote diagnosis and OTA firmware updates
- Handles continuous surge loads when mixed with the grid
Applications
US residential backup
120/240 V output feeds a split-phase panel directly; the CT prevents export where the utility forbids it.
Well pumps and HVAC
Surge tolerance covers pump and compressor starts that trip smaller inverters.
Cabins and workshops
Battery-free mode runs loads from PV during the day, with the battery added later for night coverage.
