The HT Series is a rack-mount power-frequency inverter developed for power generation, transmission and distribution. It uses double conversion with zero transfer, an input isolation transformer and a static bypass, and is intended for power telecontrol, RTU, power-line carrier and power monitoring equipment.

Design notes

Under normal conditions single-phase 220Vac (or three-phase 380Vac) mains is isolated, rectified and filtered, then rebuilt by an SPWM/IGBT inverter into a standard sine wave. The input transformer holds the rectifier DC output within 5 % even when mains varies by 25 % and the load changes across its full range. If mains fails, the station DC panel supplies the DC bus through a blocking diode without interruption; if the DC bus falls to its end-of-discharge voltage, the system alarms and the static switch transfers the load to bypass. An inverter overload or fault also triggers bypass with an alarm, and output returns automatically to inverter supply when mains recovers.

Configuration

Confirm the AC input phase and voltage, the station DC bus voltage, the load kVA/kW and the required bypass and alarm interfaces. For high-capacity wide-DC-input systems see the H 6-20k; for transformer-isolated AC-input UPS see Industrial UPS.

Key Features

  • Double-conversion online topology with zero transfer time
  • Input isolation transformer keeps rectifier DC stable within 5 % over a 25 % mains swing
  • SPWM / IGBT inverter stage for low distortion and good dynamic response
  • Station DC panel supplies the DC bus uninterrupted when mains fails
  • Static switch transfers to bypass on inverter overload, fault or DC under-voltage
  • Purpose-designed for power telecontrol, RTU, power-line carrier and power monitoring
  • Alarm signalling on DC discharge, low DC voltage and bypass operation

Applications

Power plants & substations

Isolated AC for control, protection and auxiliary systems.

RTU, carrier & SCADA

Clean power for telecontrol and power-line carrier equipment.

Distribution rooms

Automatic changeover between mains, DC panel and bypass.

FAQ

How does the DC panel take over?
When mains fails or drops out of tolerance, the DC panel connected to the DC bus supplies the inverter through a blocking diode with no interruption. At low DC voltage the system alarms and the static switch moves the load to bypass.
How stable is the output under a fluctuating grid?
With mains varying by +/- 25 % and load changing up to 100 %, the rectifier DC output stays within +/- 5 % thanks to the input isolation transformer.
Is this the same as a commercial rack UPS?
No. The HT is designed around a station DC panel and utility telecontrol loads, with transformer isolation and alarm signalling for power-industry DC systems. For standard IT loads see UPS Power Supply.
