Switching Power Supplies & Rectifiers
Regulated DC for sites whose loads are DC-powered: base stations, utility DC panels, substations, railway signalling and industrial control cabinets.
HighIdea switching power supplies turn an AC mains feed or an existing DC bus into a regulated, low-noise DC output. They are the building blocks of telecom base stations, utility DC panels, substation control rooms, railway signalling cabinets and industrial control systems, where the load is DC-powered equipment rather than AC appliances.
These are not UPS systems and not inverters. A UPS Power Supply protects AC loads with a battery and an inverter; a Power & Telecom Inverter turns a DC bus into AC. A rectifier or switching supply does the opposite of an inverter: it produces a stable DC bus, charges the battery string connected to it, and keeps communication or protection equipment running while the mains fluctuates.
The range is split by conversion direction:
- Rectifier & AC-DC Power Modules — 1U / 2U rack rectifiers and embedded 48V telecom power systems, from a single 2U RP module to an 800A modular RT system. Four platforms: RP 2U, RT4860, RT2430 1U and RT 30-800A.
- DC-DC Converters — RP 2U converters that translate between 24 / 48 / 110 / 220VDC station buses without an AC stage.
Specifying a system. Fix the DC bus voltage first (24 / 48 / 110 / 220VDC — it cannot be changed later), then the total output current and the N+1 redundancy target, the AC input range and whether a wide 90-280Vac window is needed, the battery chemistry (VRLA or LiFePO4) and autonomy, the low-voltage disconnect setpoints, and the monitoring interface (RS232 / RS485 / dry contacts / SNMP). State whether front-only access or hot-swap modules are required by the cabinet layout.
All systems are built in our own factory and support OEM/ODM customization of output voltage, current rating, enclosure height, distribution breakers, alarm thresholds, communication protocol and branding. Pair them with LiFePO4 battery packs or a conventional VRLA string.
