The GD304 platform is specified when solar is the primary charging source rather than an accessory. Its PV 65–450 V / 3–4 kW MPPT input accepts a full series string of panels without a separate charge controller, so a work camp or a mobile command unit can run for days on a fixed array. The GD304 (4019 Wh / 3000 W) and GD406 (5888 Wh / 4000 W) are the catalogue configurations; GD305, GD306 and GD405 are variants on the same chassis.
Where it fits
Construction and field sites, mobile clinics, outside broadcast, emergency command posts and off-grid cabins. Two AC outlets plus a 16 A industrial connector feed distribution boxes directly, and the 10 ms transfer lets the unit sit in front of equipment that cannot tolerate a mains interruption.
What to check before ordering
Confirm the PV string open-circuit voltage stays inside 65–450 V at the coldest expected temperature — that limit is the usual cause of field commissioning problems. Also confirm the model-specific capacity for GD305, GD306 and GD405; they share the enclosure but not the battery or inverter rating.

Applications
Field and mobile power
Mains, solar and vehicle charging in one unit, so a crew is not tied to a generator or a fixed supply.
Temporary backup
10 ms transfer keeps IT equipment, instruments and communications running through a mains interruption.
Off-grid sites
LiFePO4 cells and MPPT solar input support repeated daily cycling at remote locations.
