The HB 5/10K is a standby (offline) inverter for power, telecom, energy storage and HVDC equipment rooms. It provides complete galvanic isolation between the AC and DC sides and can be configured for either AC-priority or DC-priority operation.
Design notes
In AC-priority mode the load is fed directly from mains; when mains fails, the unit transfers to DC inverter operation in under 10 ms. This mode gives the highest efficiency and lowest running loss. In DC-priority mode the inverter supplies the load continuously from the DC bus regardless of mains, and bypass is engaged only if the inverter faults — the load therefore always sees a stable sine wave.
Full physical AC/DC isolation meets power-industry separation standards, and the absence of back-feed noise means the inverter neither charges the DC bus nor triggers DC leakage or insulation alarms. Full-digital DSP control gives accurate output regulation and flexible mode handling. DC input versions cover 48 / 110 / 220 / 240VDC, and the unit works with DC panels, telecom rectifiers, VRLA strings and lithium banks.

Key Features
- Two operating modes: AC-priority (high efficiency) and DC-priority (continuous sine output)
- AC-priority transfer under 10 ms when mains fails
- Full physical AC/DC isolation compliant with power-industry separation requirements
- No back-feed noise: the inverter does not charge the DC bus or trigger leakage alarms
- Full-digital DSP inverter control with flexible operating modes
- DC bus options 48 / 110 / 220 / 240VDC
- Compatible with DC panels, telecom rectifiers, VRLA and lithium battery banks
Applications
Substations & DC panels
Isolated AC from 110 / 220 / 240VDC station batteries.
Telecom rooms & base stations
48VDC bus backup with an efficient AC-priority mode.
HVDC & wind power
Sites with wide DC bus variation and strict isolation requirements.
